Temporary Rader Speed Sign

The Township of Armour would like to inform residents and visitors that a temporary radar digital speed sign is being rotated through various locations in the community.

This radar speed sign is part of our ongoing traffic calming efforts and is designed to improve road safety. It works by detecting the speed of approaching vehicles and providing drivers with real-time feedback:

• At or below the speed limit? Your current speed will be displayed in amber.
• Over the speed limit? A red flashing message will display your speed along with a warning to slow down.

This immediate feedback encourages drivers to adjust their behavior and travel at safer speeds, helping to protect pedestrians, cyclists, and all road users.
