Reminder: Parking and Snow Removal

Citizens are reminded that Section 170 (12) of the Highway Traffic Act prohibits the parking or standing of vehicles on any road when it will interfere with winter operations.

Citizens are also reminded that Section 181 of the Highway Traffic Act prohibits any person from depositing snow or ice on a public roadway. This would include the placing of snow on roads to accommodate snowmobiles or skiing activities.

Roads maintenance is ongoing throughout the year. With about 132 kms of roads in the Township, it takes many hours for our equipment to work over the entire system. In a winter storm event, our roads crew is out on the job. Please be patient, we will get to your road as soon as we can.
