Almaguin Highlands OPP Detachment Board
Do you live in the Almaguin Highlands and want to help support community wellbeing and public safety? We invite you to apply to become a Community Representative on the Almaguin Highlands OPP Detachment Board.
This is an opportunity to actively participate in discussions that help shape local policing, community safety, and law enforcement initiatives.
🏛️ Board Composition
The Board consists of:
- 4 Council Representatives from the 12 member municipalities
- 2 Community Representatives
- 1 Provincial Appointee
The member municipalities are:
• Township of Armour
• Village of Burk’s Falls
• Township of Ryerson
• Municipality of Magnetawan
• Town of Kearney
• Township of Joly
• Township of Machar
• Village of South River
• Township of Strong
• Township of Perry
• Village of Sundridge
• Township of McMurrich/Monteith
💰 Honorarium
The Community Representative position is an honorarium position of
$61.82 per meeting, for up to 6 meetings per year.
✅ Eligibility
Applicants must be an eligible elector in one of the 12 member municipalities.

📅 Application Deadline
Completed applications, including a cover letter, must be submitted by
4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026.
