NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR JUNE 26, 2018
CONCERNING A PROPOSED ZONING BY- LAW AMENDMENT
A complete application by the Township of Armour is being processed for a Zoning By-law Amendment which effects all private lands in the Township of Armour, District of Parry Sound. A location map is not attached to this Notice as all private lands in the Township are affected.
The purpose of the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is to add provisions to the
Armour Township Zoning By-law to address
Canada Bill C-45: An Act Respecting Cannabis (marijuana)
which comes into legal effect July 1, 2018.
It is the intent of the Zoning By-law Amendment to prohibit production, sales
and dispensing of cannabis anywhere in Armour Township except by rezoning.

TAKE NOTICE That the Council of the Township of Armour will hold a public meeting on June 26, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Armour Township Council Chambers to consider a proposed Zoning By law Amendment under Section 34 of the Planning Act to amend By law No. 27-95 as amended, the Armour Township Zoning By law.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal presentation either in support of, or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By law Amendment.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Armour to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Armour before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Armour before the By law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
